Home Sweet Home

I've been running in California for 19 years now and to say its the best place to be a runner is an understatement. Now, I may be biased but I will prove to you why California is a runners haven.

  1. "It Never Rains in Southern California"

The song is right! It never (or rarely) rains. You can always count on your local weather man to say it's the perfect day to go outside and exercise.

  2. RACE RACE RACE

California is home to many iconic races, including the LA Marathon, Bay to Breakers, RunDisney races, and the Big Sur International Marathon. I tend to stick to local and charity organized races, but I would love to run the LA Marathon one day

  3. Beach AND Mountains

In California, we have it all! who says you have to pick one or the other? In CA you don't have to. I prefer beach runs though

  4. Opportunity

Because California is home to many celebrities, and their celebrity trainers, you'll have no trouble finding a run coach or fitness guru to help you on your journey. CA also has a plethora of running shops to help you find your best fit when it comes to shoes or other equipment.

  5. Year round produce and Avocado Toast

One perk of the single season lifestyle is the abundance of fruit tress and vegetable gardens. My neighborhood had so many citrus trees so I never went hungry. lol
