Running has always been a way for me to challenge myself, clear my mind, and explore new places. But lately, I’ve been thinking about how much more it can mean. Beyond personal goals, running has the power to bring people together for something bigger—a cause that can change lives. That’s why I’ve decided to dedicate my next race to a cause close to my heart, and I’m excited to share that journey with you over the next two months.

There’s something special about running not just for personal growth, but for a purpose beyond yourself. Whether it’s raising money for cancer research, supporting mental health initiatives, or advocating for equality, running for a cause allows us to use our legs—and our hearts—to make a difference. It turns every step into a contribution toward something greater, giving the miles we run a deeper meaning

This November, I’ll be participating in my fourth race with A Change of Pace Foundation, an organization that’s doing incredible work to produce some top of the line races, while partnering with local organizations to raise money. This year, the Davis Turkey Trot will continue relationships with Cancer Champions and the Yolo County SPCA to enrich the lives of cancer patients, and pets.

Over the next two months, I’ll be diving into the why behind this race, sharing stories from those who are involved, and highlighting how running can be a powerful tool for change.

stay tuned for more!
