Summer’s Been Cute, But… I’m Ready for School

lThere’s a point in every summer where the pool days, the late mornings, and the “what are we even doing tonight?” texts stop feeling like freedom and start feeling like waiting. Waiting for something new, something different, something… more.
For me, that something is school.
Yes, I said it. I’m actually excited for classes, crowded lecture halls, and the chance to reinvent myself , even if just a little. After three months of lounging, scrolling, and working closing shifts, I want lectures, library runs, and late-night study sessions fueled by caffeine and questionable diet choices.
I’m looking forward to seeing friends I’ve missed all summer, catching up like no time has passed. I’m curious about the new people I’ll meet, too . . . maybe even a boy or two who might make the quarter a little more interesting.
Mostly, I’m craving structure. A reason to put on a real outfit. A place to be. A rhythm.
Because if summer is a never-ending Sunday afternoon, then fall is Monday morning. And as much as we pretend to hate Mondays… don’t we secretly love the fresh start?
